35/50mm Summarit thread protection rings

Anyone know where I can source these metal rings for the front of the lens? Not sure they have a part number.

First of all, have a close look at the inside of the Summarit's front cap ... maybe you can source the missing ring there

I know I'm resurrecting a thread from the depths of time, but just wanted to say a "Thank You" to o1af for the insight

Have just bought a secondhand 90mm f2.5, and found the protection ring inside the lenscap!! 🙂 The only places I'd seen the ring listed for sale was Leica Store Miami and Leica Center Stockholm. As this was

I wonder just how many are stuck inside lenscaps, with everyone trying to find them!! Or thinking they have a screw on lenscap.

In my Summarit-M 2.5/35mm instructions, the designed Spare Parts for the

Thread protection ring is 421-052.901-022

I think it's the same for 2.5/50mm
