There is a certain percentage that is deemed within tolerance. If a later remapping is needed, Leica will remap up to the tolerance. If the sensor exceeds the tolerance it will be replaced. If they replace the CCD they will replace the motherboard too. Would replacing the motherboard have any affect on the LCD and its failure rate?
