Desiccant for lens case

I go away for weeks several times yearly, with my family away more so than me so the house is empty but alarmed. Our neighborhood is safe but don't want to be too complacent.

 

Usually, I take a camera body and 2 lens and don't want my M lenses (12) sitting out in the open.

 

I have a large aluminum case with ethafoam which is a closed cell foam which shouldn't degrade or flake with age that I can cut out and place the lenses in for a week or so while I am away.

 

I want to use this desiccant product for the case and was wondering if this is appropriate; wouldn't want to inadvertently hurt my lenses in trying to safeguard them.
