Timmyjoe Posted April 1, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted April 1, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) While I am a Leica photographer, with my main cameras being an M8, M6TTL and iiif, since Leica doesn't make an underwater camera that I am aware of, I had to use a different brand for these shots last week. leicamann Posted April 1, 2012 Share #2  Posted April 1, 2012 First shot is the best of the set, love the colours. Could you maybe give us a bit more of a narrative, where this was, what happened, whats your UW setup etc. Also a word of caution, but you probably are already aware of this, rays of any sort do not like being badgered into a corner , especially if they are in a group, this is how Steve Irwin came to his untimely end.  Thanks for sharing  Cheers, JRM
Timmyjoe Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share #3 Â Posted April 1, 2012 Thanks JRM. Took the kids to Florida last week for their spring break from school. This was in an artificial reef that was created at a place called Discovery Cove in Orlando. Luckily these guys have had their bards trimmed so as to not pierce any of the paying customers. Some absolutely beautiful fish. Also got to swim with bottle nose dolphins. Â Taken with a Panasonic DMC-TS3.
stuny Posted April 2, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted April 2, 2012 Tim - Â Lovely shots. These are eagle rays, and the first is the sub species, spotted eagle ray. Eagle rays are among the most graceful of the genus, and always a pleasure to see. I'm glad you chose the Pansonic since its Leica lens lets you place the images here.
