I followed your suggestion, Stephen, and asked Wotancraft. They don't sell the insert separately. But they are making a new model, the MKII, that will be ready in june. They will send me one. I'll inform you!

Cheers,

Manolo

Manolo-

Is the new model a Scout?

Interesting that there is a new MkII version of the insert being developed. I wonder what will be different, as I found MkI to be excellent. Oh well. I plan to be in Hong Kong at the end of May/beginning of June, so hopefully Victor at Annie Barton will have one to see.

If after you see a new MKII, kindly let us know how it is different from yours and your great pictures. I would like a blueish model like yours.

From the many, many bags I've tried, nothing has been better than the North Face versatile travel lumbar. It's s very light, comfortable bag where I carry my M9 with a 35, and can fit one or even two additional lenses. When tired, the same should strap works as a belt and I can carry the bag as a fanny pack. It has space for all the pther expected things like pen, notebook, keys, headset, phone, etc. Best I had. Light, descreet and comfortable. You can see a sample here: THE NORTH FACE ITINERANT TRAVEL LUMBAR [F-11] or search online.

Martin, Do you have a picture showing the inside of this bag? I wasn't able find it anywhere else.

Really bad on the run pictures, but should give you and idea. Hope this helps.

Thanks Martin. It seems to be well padded but does not have any dividers for camera' lenses, etc.

If you desire a bag like this or any other non-camera bag for camera use I would suggest buying A&A inserts which I have found come in very handy for backpack adaptation as but one example. Popflash used to sell them, but no longer list them on their website.

Thank you very much for all your suggestions. Finally I have decided to go with Fogg Lyre bag and more than happy. Small, comfortable, solid, fits m9 with lens(mine is 35m but I am sure that zoom lens also will fit, or two smaller lenses which one is attached to camera), wallet, phone and other small things like keys.

Could you show a photo with the camera in the Fogg Lyre Bag?

Thanks

I don't have an M-9 yet but do have a lens on order. I own a Crumpler Haven Pouch that I plan to use until I determine what works best. I use the Haven to put my existing photo equipment in and then drop it in other bags depending on the situation. The extra padding is nice and allows me to pull the pouch out without setting all my camera equipment out in the open.
