I have been using CV 35/1.4 on my nex 5, I uploaded my pict to computer, the picture was not as focused as I tought...... I thought I had it while looking at nex 5 screen. Â They detect common eye diseases in addition to checking vision, most all of which have no symptoms you can detect yourself at early stages. Â Those viewfinders are just consumer grade stuff anyway. They may be ok for for pics mom takes of the kids, but a pro camera it is not. Â You might get a young friend to focus for you and see if you get the same result. I find that the rangefinder gives me far more accurate focussing than a manual focussing on an SLR, and so many AF shots were in focus but on the wrong point that my hit-rate is no worse than it ever was with an SLR. Â The good thing about the rangefinder is that as long as you can see whether the lines line up in the centre patch, you will be in focus. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
TomB_tx Posted March 23, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted March 23, 2012 I'd agree that for my old eyes I can focus a rangefinder more consistly than I can an SLR now, even with f1.2 lenses on the SLR. The CV 35 1.4 does have some focus shift, but on the NEX you would focus at set aperture, so the shift shouldn't be an issue. I use mine a lot on the M9, and I bet you will do just fine with it. Mr. Thompson Posted March 23, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted March 23, 2012 Jack - If you are shooting that lens wide open on the NEX you may want to touch the screen to magnify the zone you want to focus on. The focus on the E-P2 using either the screen or electronic viewfinder was much more difficult for me than the M9. Magnifying the image on the screen introduced too much movement.
