dchalfon Posted March 20, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 20, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) i am a nik silver efex user in aperture for quite some time now, and although i like the results, the workflow is not so nice since i need to open the plug-in and save a new file every time. now i've checked this: VSCO Film | Visual Supply Co is anyone using it? is it really that good? i could only find a few reviews on the web, nothing really conclusive. Advertisement Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Hi dchalfon, Take a look here vsco vs. nik silver efex. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted March 21, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 21, 2012 I use Silver Efex and, although VSCO looks interesting, I don't see anything on the website that would compel me to change. I did notice some poorly thought-out advertising puff that amused me: "SERIOUS PRESETS FOR THE AVID ENTHUSIAST AND THE MICRO 4/3RDS PHOTOGRAPHER" ... with the implication that micro 4/3rds photographers aren't avid enthusiasts then? jbhthescots Posted March 21, 2012 Share #4 Posted March 21, 2012 Alternatively, you could just get a film Leica and go for the real thing - best decision I ever made, trading in the M9 for an M7 & MP!
