jimofnyc Posted March 16, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted March 16, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I chanced upon this fellow resting on an old fallen tree I didn't get too close thinking he was a Coral Snake. This was as close as the 50mm Summilux M Asph would go... and then I got going... Taken in the marshes of the Passaic River. Thanks for not striking, Jim

leicamann Posted March 16, 2012 Share #2  Posted March 16, 2012 Beautiful, but harmless..if it was Coral snake..that would have been a different story..would have been nice to get the "head" in focus...I know snake is moving constantly and its hard to get a decent shot...je comprends!!  Thanks for sharing  Cheers, JRM

jimofnyc Posted March 17, 2012 Author Share #5 Â Posted March 17, 2012 Leciaman, Stuart and Paul, thank you for your comments. I knew I had only a small opportunity if I didn't want to tempt fate so I got greedy on my focus, I wanted the head in focus but there was so much of the snake behind that. My plane of focus was shifted slightly towards the back... Jim
