Advertisement Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Hi jamriman, Take a look here Thumbie + Luigi half case?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JazzDoc Posted March 30, 2012 Share #22 Â Posted March 30, 2012 I recently bought a Luigi half case for my M9 with the cut out for the Thumbs Up. Beautiful work by Luigi, a real gentleman and craftsman. Â Problem now is that I recently got and love the Walter eyepiece and the half case interferes with its movement and size. I purchased a Black Label Bag half case, problem solved. This is a very well made half case, comes in black or brown, available through the Photo Village in NYC. And as a bonus, it also interferes far less with operating the setting dial than any of the other available half cases.
250swb Posted March 30, 2012 Share #23  Posted March 30, 2012 As I have said before, if anybody buys a Thumbie and it doesn't fit with a half-case you can get a refund by sending it back. If you want the dimensions to send to a half case maker just ask, if you want a resin copy of the Thumbie to send to a half case maker just ask  Steve

jamriman Posted April 5, 2012 Share #25 Â Posted April 5, 2012 I'll post a pic but it might not help. Luigi didn't measure it right. The stitching was off.

lawman Posted April 6, 2012 Share #28 Â Posted April 6, 2012 Jariman - thanks for the photo - if I am interpreting it correctly, you have placed the top of the Thumbie over the top plate of the camera to allow for the snap closure on the Luigi case - is this correct? This would place the Thumbie about 1/4 inch higher on the camera than the recommended position - is this working OK for you? Thanks.
jamriman Posted April 6, 2012 Share #29 Â Posted April 6, 2012 No. It's level.
tdtaylor Posted April 9, 2012 Share #30 Â Posted April 9, 2012 Been using a Luigi half case and Thumbie for quite a while. The case was trimmed for a Thumbs up, and when I received the Thumbie I just cut the case back a little further, blacked and sealed the edge of the leather and never thought much about it. The Thumbie now has a lot of brass showing, and the case is as good as ever.
