There is one member who simply posts obnoxious posts at every opportunity (no informative or positive content other than how experienced and knowledgeable he is) and another who has averaged 26 posts per day since joining the forum only a week or so ago (1,700 posts, not one thanked, and no friends), and finally the guy who sanded his camera to get brassing! Jesus wept! I know these guys add entertainment, and it is pointless just reading and interacting with people who you like and agree with, but these particular individuals were doing my head in. Sadly, it's hard to say something like that without sounding arrogant ... My sympathies to the moderators who have to read all this nonsense. Resisting being distracted makes for a better Forum experience. I think the Ignore Filter is a useful tool to assist there. No doubt we all have varying sensitivities . Generally, the noise around here is easily ignored. If it's a thread you are not interested in, don't read it. Ditto posts. It's not hard; I don't need an artificial filter thank you, my inbuilt ones are perfectly up to the job. The only thing that winds me up is the indiscriminate use of the quote button to replicate acres of text when the original is directly above... You can't prevent pests existing, you can take measures to eliminate them from bandwidth , until someone quotes what they say, which is inescapable.
