sinjun Posted March 11, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted March 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a 40mm Summicron with a loose aperture ring and slightly stiff focus. Can anyone recommend someone in the UK to service / repair the lens? Thanks in anticipation.

Deeman Posted March 11, 2012 Share #2  Posted March 11, 2012 Hi Sinjun,  I would suggest Peter Grisaffi of CRR Luton. He is Leica factory trained, a superb technician and a thoroughly nice guy into the bargain. He has done an excellent job on my Canon f1.4/50mm LTM and my Voigtlander f1.4/40mm M. He is a busy man, but it is worth giving him a ring.  His quirky website can be found here: CAMERA REPAIRS & RESTORATION - LUTON , ENGLAND - 2012 Year of the London Olympics  Ivan

Falstaff Posted March 12, 2012 Share #7 Â Posted March 12, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Peter Grisaffii all the way. Not only excellent but also ready when he said they would be. On Rolo's recommendation, I had an M3 revamped and a lens with stiff focusing fixed - excelent workmanship. Falstaff
bill Posted March 12, 2012 Share #8 Â Posted March 12, 2012 I can vouch for the quality of work by CRR. A small point, but as a lifelong and highly sensitive non-smoker I was disappointed to receive back my II from a CLA smelling like an old ashtray. It took days to lose the smell.
