ASpes Posted March 2, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted March 2, 2012 In my memories I always related him more to the car world and specifically to the Ferrari brand, but one day, a long time ago, at a friend's house I had the chance to browse a couple issues of a thin Leica magazine I didn't know about and learnt that we shared also another interest. Point is that when we come to talk about Ferrari and Leica it's often more than just a cold technical interest, it's often a matter of passion. And, besides everything else, guess that's what we will miss the most of him.

Tietje Posted March 4, 2012 Share #8 Â Posted March 4, 2012 His book, "Leica the First Fifty Years" (as it was then) was the first Leica book I ever read, back in 1976. I still have it. RIP

derekg Posted May 1, 2012 Share #10 Â Posted May 1, 2012 Very sorry to hear the sad news regarding Gianni Rogliatti. ( only just seen the news)[] Â We had a very good relationship over many years. Â He had an excellent knowledge of Leica and I know with his book Leica the First 50 years started many people down the Leica route. Â I was proud to be his Leica Publisher. So good to see your post. It's been so many years since we last visited at Photokina. I hope you and the family are doing well! All the best!
