leicamann Posted February 28, 2012 Share #1  Posted February 28, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) At Boundary Bay, Delta, BC.there have been approx 60 to 100 Snowy Owls roosting on the bog logs. Today the numbers are in the 40s and the number of photographers has increased by 100 fold. I am still not 100% happy with these shots, since there was a tremendous amount of chromatic aberration going on that had to be removed. This was due to the "prismatic effect of the harsh backlight, Tomorrow or Wednesday may provide less , but softer light and images free of these affects, this does not happen with film. So as promised to Doug Herr, here are your Snowy Owls!!  Tech: Manfrotto Tripod, Telyt R 560mm F5.6/ Shoulderstock, R9 DMR /RAW/ and Photoshop to resize and remove chromatic aberration. Cropped about 30% off the original image. No USM..as is..   Thanks for looking  Cheers, JRM
