stuny Posted February 27, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The small fish atop the moray is called a cleaner wrasse, and is one of several species of fish that live near “cleaning stations” where other, larger creatures (many predatory) go to have parasites removed. The predators perceive the cleaners as helpful and don’t eat them, even when the cleaners are cleaning their mouths and gills. You can see more underwater photos on the 5th and 6th page of Papua New Guinea Photo Galleries on our site.
