johnloumiles Posted February 22, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted February 22, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just picked up at Canon 50 1.2 LTM for my M8 as well as a 50/75 coded adapter (the kind you color in yourself). Does it make more sense to code the lens as 50 Lux or Noct? I assume it makes little difference but I'd rather go the right direction then the wrong one. Advertisement Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Hi johnloumiles, Take a look here What code should I use (Canon 50mm 1.2 LTM). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
johnloumiles Posted February 23, 2012 Author Share #2 Â Posted February 23, 2012 Surprised no one went for this. Any ideas out there, any at all?
farnz Posted February 23, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted February 23, 2012 I rarely use my Canon 50/1.2 but when I do I code it as a 50/1.4 Summilux (pre-asph). As you're doubtless aware, the coding won't affect the image quality on a 50 mm lens it'll only determine what's written into the EXIF file. So it's probably a matter of choosing a Leica 50 that you don't have and coding it as that so later you'll know for sure which lens you took the picture with. Â Pete.
