Need focus screen changing instructions

I would like to change focus screens in an R4. the clear screen I want to mount came with a plastic tool and a small brush.

Could someone be so kind to instruct me, or direct me to instructions on how to change focusing screens.

Put the camera on its back with a small table lamp shining in the lens mount,

 

Pull the slide back on the tool provided and clamp onto the focus screen tab. If it will not clamp on, the tool is wrong way up.

 

Rotate the front tab end of the screen down 10 degrees and remove.

 

Reverse to install. Make sure you get the screen above the two clips at the rear end of the mirror box and the slant on the tab front is the same as the way the one was that was removed. If the tool top is not right side up, the screen will be upside down.

 

Use care not to scratch the plastic screen as they are soft. It should have come in a box with a small brush and install tool. The box has a place to hold a screen vertical and a place to store the removed one while you grab the new so you do not need to find a place to place it.

 

It would take a lot to get me to do this in the field.

I ended up doing it today. Seems the tool only goes on one way. Ended up changing the screens Ok. The foam in the screen box, along with the foam in the camera is in a "rotting state". Not So bad in the R4, but clearly the foam used by Leica is a time bomb.

 

there must be some thing missing from the screen carrying box as there is only a large open area for the screens to be carried.

 

Anyway,

the thing is changed.
