Advertisement Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Hi pico, Take a look here 6 bit flanges - type 1 or type 2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Fgcm Posted February 8, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted February 8, 2012 Dear Pico, I would like to suggest you to send your lenses to Leica. Just for curiousity I purchased and checked aftermarket flanges. I used my german made micrometers. These aftermarket flanges are not flat. I got some 5 hudred of mm of errors: one side thiker then the opposite one. Leica flanges (at least mine) have a tolerance within 5 thousands of mm. One order of magnitude. It is indeed a huge difference. Regards Fgcm

The flat measuring area is no long flat. It's good enough for most auto mechanics but it's going into the junk drawer now.  I will contact Leica USA if I finally have them coded. At the moment I don't mind setting the lens manually.  You may have saved me a lot of trouble!
algrove Posted February 14, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted February 14, 2012 I have some lenses in for 6 bit. From recent Leica paperwork (2/8/12) they use P/N 442-085-803-006 called the Milled Bayo for 50. 75. Assuming that means the Noctilux and your 75/1.4. Gives you something to ask them with specifics if still needed your end.
