Advertisement Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Hi Agent M10, Take a look here How to Send Lens In. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted January 30, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted January 30, 2012 Have a look on the Customer Service section of their website. That will give you their address. Â Package it very well (I would double-box and wrap in bubble-wrap) and include a cover letter outlining what the issue is and ask them for a quotation for the work. Â Make sure you insure the parcel properly and ask for a signature from the recipient.
mikebidwell Posted January 30, 2012 Share #3  Posted January 30, 2012 I have a 50mm Summilux that I think needs recalibration and the focus is sticky. What do I need to do to send in to Leica? And where to send?  If you are in the UK then perhaps you should contact Leica UK in Mayfair and discuss the problem with them. In the past couple of months I've found them very helpful and they can advise you how to get your lens to Solms  Best wishes
250swb Posted January 30, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted January 30, 2012 If you bought it from a Leica dealer take it to them, they should take care of everything for you. Â Steve
Ivar B Posted January 30, 2012 Share #5  Posted January 30, 2012 This is very simple indeed. Go to the following web address:  Leica Camera AG - Downloads  About half way down you will see the document:  Repair Form Sheet  Download and print it and fill in the required details and send it with the equipment to the address given on top  After some days you will receive an estimate from Leica which you can accept or reject.  At least in this country, if you send through a dealer or importer, they will have to charge overhead etc. so it is in my opinon much better to send it yourself.  If a lens problem is the issue, in my experience Leica HQ in Solms is the only place to send it.
