kivis Posted January 16, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 16, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) $4 for negs and a 3-4 meg scan. I am going to miss them. This leaves crappy Walgreen's for $9 or sending out (I use North Coast Photo in San Diego) for 6 meg scan for $10. Even the Walgreen's told me that when the machine dies they are done, too. I am starting to get nightmares.

Or you could get the scanner and pay your kid to do it.

It would be my first experience in digital processing of film.
Messsucherkamera Posted January 16, 2012 Share #5 Posted January 16, 2012 If you want to shoot film and print digitally, buying a scanner is almost mandatory these days. The local lab that I use for scans that are fit to make prints from charges $15/scan. I can get scans that will work for projection or website use for $1/scan, though.
