richfx Posted January 8, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone have an update on whether filters other than Leica's UV (excluding home-machined versions) are available that fit the new 35mm Summilux FLE with hood attached? There were a number of threads discussing this topic when the lens was new, but I'd like to use a 007 clear filter on a daily basis (preferably a B+W 007 MRC) with this lens rather than the UV filter from Leica if possible. Thanks, Rich
Advertisement Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Hi richfx, Take a look here 35mm Summilux FLE Filters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
akiralx Posted January 8, 2012 Share #2 Posted January 8, 2012 Fitting the FLE hood over my new B+W ND filter was a squeeze and when I removed the hood the filter was jammed inside. Managed to force it out, but not easy...

John McMaster Posted January 9, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 9, 2012 I think that is only for newer lenses, Heliopan do not fit under my 2010 FLE hood. john

richfx Posted January 9, 2012 Author Share #6 Posted January 9, 2012 How about 007 clear filters / protectors for it? I wonder whether B+W or anyone else redesigned its version to fit under the new 35 Summilux hood. Rich

lars_bergquist Posted January 10, 2012 Share #8 Posted January 10, 2012 I posted on this subject of filters and lens hoods art another tread here(http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/customer-forum/203440-nd-filter-35mm-summilux-v2-2.html). I don't know about Heliopan, but what I found about Leica and B+W filters does seem to show that with current hoods, Leica have solved the problem.
