Could you please help re private and visitor messages. "Private messages" are easy enough to open and reply to, but there are also "visitor messages". These opened under private messages at first -- I hadn't seen them before. The only way to open them again seems to be by clicking on my name at the top right. But I am not sure how to reply to them? I tried clicking on name of sender and posting, but has this gone to one or several? And how do I find sent mail?

This is probably just me; I don't get Facebook either (regular email is straightforward!)

You have 5 visitor messages, all of which are publicly visible.

Click on your name above your avatar and then "View public profile." and you can see them and reply to them. You can also delete them from there.

If you respond to one it appears in the list below your name.

yes likewise. It appears that at least one of my messages to you was in public view. Having said that, unlikely it would have been seen given the short time frame.

I notice you have all film M's. Pretty impressive. I say that because in shooting my first job with the M8 and M9 yesterday I found it to be a challenge (Frame lines). I could not even imagine what it would be like without the opportunity to review. I have purchased an M6 recently too.

That is what 10 years of exclusive digital SLR shooting will do for you I guess. I am hoping that time and experience will improve my understanding and technique in shooting RF style.

Don't get hung up on the framelines - treat them as guidelines, but not as gospel. In time your photographic subconscious mind will learn the exact framing of each focal length and you will be able to frame more tightly

For the time being, treat the 50 mm framelines:

1m inside framelines

3m just outside framelines

inf 3 framelines width outside framelines.

No worries, Paul, and that's a real reminder I must update my profile! Soon as I get time. Since then, add the M9 and a D-Lux 5. But the film Ms, including M6, are brilliant. I still love slide film.

Jaap's right, framelines don't make a big difference in practical terms. Although it's good to see around them. I also don't mind accessory finders -- they are bright and clear.

Best,

David
