I like this one because it is possible to see the large group (band) of birds on the water in the distance, and the smaller groups in flight.

Very nice as usual. Your photos have become so beautiful and naturalistic... Indeed, although I like this shot more than your first one, but the tone in the first one is more natural and film-like. This one is a little too bright, contrasty and saturated.

Tri, I see what you mean and this was certainly not intentional on my part (I want to come as close as possible to how the place felt for me); so this is very helpful feedback for when I process a few other images I have from the same place.

 

Paul, I believe the elevation is about 4500 feet. They had quite a lot of snow in this area due to a recent storm. The whole state is in desperate need of water (like the entire Southwest) so this was good news.
