flavio Posted February 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I am an absolute beginner in the digital field. I understand that M8 is giving one problem for infrared, but from my point of view, this may turn in an advantage since I'd like to give a try to that field. Is there a publication where I can understand which kind of IR region M8 is recording? Maybe some of you already know the answer? Thanks anyway. Advertisement Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Hi flavio, Take a look here Infrared & M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted February 22, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 22, 2007 Hmmm.let me see, Flavio. Around Christmas I did some IR experimenting. I haven't come around to it since then, as I am waiting for fresh green foliage to come out for outdoor IR landscapes. B&W IRpass filter with Summicron 35 asph, ISO 1250 and focussing bracketed. (about 3mm off on the scale I would guess.)
stunsworth Posted February 22, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 22, 2007 I have a b&w 093 IR filter on order - waiting for me tomorrow I hope. If it's sunny over the weekend (no laughing at the back :-) I'll have a go with it and post some results.
G Radda Posted February 22, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 22, 2007 Check out the new book "Complete Guide to Digital Infrared Photography" by Joe Farace. ISBN 1579907725. Has lots of info on filters, processing, etc. I am looking forward to trying IR photography on my M8 soon! Have a HOYA IR pass filter to try.
