jaapv Posted December 5, 2011 Share #21 Â Posted December 5, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Jaap, this sounds all very reasonable. Still, if I had camera and lenses adjusted several months ago, have not used it a lot in the meantime and then put on a brand new (and not cheap) lens which is so much out of focus. And Leica tell me to send in everything otherwise there could be problems with the remaining lenses... This does let you wonder! It just means they want to be sure all is adjusted to one standard. Advertisement Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Leica CS -gobsmacked (the ying yang/outside ec version). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
billib Posted December 5, 2011 Share #22 Â Posted December 5, 2011 Hi jaapv, was just wondering. When you send your perfectly working and previously adjusted M body back to be checked again (as per Leica's request) with a lens your sending to be checked for the first time, you will be charged again for "re-checking" an already adjusted and working body. Right? Â Like I said, just wondering........what it'll cost extra, just to be sure? It just means they want to besure all is adjusted to one standard. jaapv Posted December 5, 2011 Share #23 Â Posted December 5, 2011 I have no idea - but I do not think Leica CS needs to drum up business - I doubt they would charge you for checking, only for adjusting as neccessary. I have had gear returned "within specification" or "inherent to the design"without charge.
billib Posted December 5, 2011 Share #24 Â Posted December 5, 2011 Thats good to know. I now feel better sending in equipment that may not need to be adjusted.
