NickZ Posted February 19, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted February 19, 2007 Hi and thanks. Files were deleted from an Imagetank. Working on a Mac Intel using C1. Many thanks, Nick.
farnz Posted February 19, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 19, 2007 Hi, Nick, I don't use an Imagetank (or a Mac) but I'd expect the manufacturer to have or know of software for retrieving deleted files. Providing you havent reformatted the Imagetank's disk I'd expect the files to be retrievable (and some files can even be retrieved after a low level format). There are many websites that offer software or services to retreive deleted data; I'm not familiar with any of the products (thank goodness) but you might like to try the one below because it offers a free trial. Undelete Software for Windows - WinUndelete Best of luck, Pete.

4season Posted February 20, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 20, 2007 First things first: When you accidently delete a file, immediately stop using that flash card, image tank or hard drive: Absolutely do not save new data to it! Normally, when you "delete" a file, the data is still intact on your hard drive, but it's hidden from view, and the space is no longer reserved, so new data can simply overwrite it. And once you overwrite your data, recovery becomes impossible. And as always, Google is your friend: os x unerase - Google Search
