rondeb Posted February 18, 2007 Share #1  Posted February 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Saw a woman yesterday writing in the snow. I believe she placed these snow blocks and incribed "This was once a castle" around it in some kind of protest to the Chinese embassy accross the West Side hway(NYC). After she did this, she laid down in the snow for awhile. Mind you, it was around 5 degrees F with the wind chill. I've put in some vignetting for effect - not the lens! MrEd Posted February 22, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted February 22, 2007 Hi Ron, Tell my friends on the W 42nd street building to treat people like human beings and maybe there won't be any more protests like that one. Got any more shots of the neighborhood? This is a good picture. Thanks for sharing. Ed. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â .

I live in the neighborhood and I'm used to seeing the Chinese protesters by the embassy - just not so often in sub-zero conditions like this day. Here's another. Different subject, same day. I'm a tourist in my own city! Ron
