I was told that earlier #14304 screens were darker than later #14304 screens (identified as a later screen by an "R" on the tab.) Is this true? I saw a pair of screens too. But they were the plain with lines, and the conventional split image, so I passed the up.(they were a good price). I think they are gone now. I have one screen a 14304 on the line at a dealer now for $45. And Sherry is looking in her stock for one over this weekend. So I hope for the best. thanks again! and btw I am moving away from the brightscreen idea because the metering area circle that would be in the Leica screen would be gone. garyp Posted February 23, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 23, 2007 Rafael The earlier screens were about a stop darker, and that is correct about the 'R' on newer screens. It was super difficult to find, and I did not have the chance to have the sales person eyeball the screen ...... I was looking for the indicator to tell me if it it was the brighter one. Forget that .... nobody has clear screens. I will live with whatever arrives until I find something better. Hey .... it may be the brighter screen ....
