camilo Posted October 16, 2011 Share #1 Â Posted October 16, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I am new to this forum. I bought Leica M6 about 2 months ago and have since been shooting with a borrowed 35mm Summicron. As I cannot afford Leica glass, I thought Voigtlaender 35mm 1.4 was kind of a suitable replacement. But now I do not know whether to choose MC or SC version. I shoot mostly TriX, but I load a color roll sometimes too. Can someone who has used the lens please give me some info and maybe some example photos? Is the difference between the lenses even noticeable? Thanks. TomB_tx Posted October 16, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted October 16, 2011 I got the MC version for a low-light companion to my v3 35 Summicron. I've been very pleased with it, but prefer the Summicron in good light. Have not done much B&W with it.

SC will be a little lower in contrast with some flair that fills in some dark areas which may have some advantage to monochrome work at a loss to color. aesop Posted October 18, 2011 Share #5  Posted October 18, 2011 ...go SC for B&W only, but MC if you shoot colour and B&W.
