Beyder28 Posted October 18, 2011 Author Share #21 Posted October 18, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) The LFI article (thanks Beyder... ) says another thing I didn't know... the items with scale in meters are rather uncommon because for years the "commercial" Summarex (to say, not the few black items made in wartime) was sold almost exclusively to "non-meter" countries... probably the last batch is the one with more items with scale in meters... That is pretty interesting. I missed that in the article.

UliWer Posted September 25, 2012 Share #28 Posted September 25, 2012 Coming back to this old thread: On my Summarex No. 7324xx I first tried the 58mm UV-IR-Filter by B+W , which I had used for the 200mm Telyt on the M8. The hood fitted with this filter. Though it was a black one and so I thought a silver filter wood be more "stylish". I was glad to find out that B+W still has silver UV-Filters(not IR-cut) in their catalogue. Today I got it - but now the hood doesn't fit any more:p. Even though the chrome filter looks exactly like the black one, it seems to be a fragrance of a mm thicker... Going back to the black version and hoping that IR-Cut won't have any side effects. UliWer Posted September 25, 2012 Share #29 Posted September 25, 2012 Update: After I wrote the posting above i tried again with the silver filter, applying some more force: the hood went over the filter. Moving the hood in its bayonet helped. It now slips on and off without too much strain. The writing on the filter edge got worn off, which doesn't matter.
