philcycles Posted October 6, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've got the NEX, I've got the adapters, I've got the lenses but can't get the camera to shoot with them. I was told there is a "shoot without lens" setting on some menu but can't find it. Any help? Thanks in advance. Phil Brown

jankap Posted October 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2011 Page 124 in the german manual. If you connect the camera to a for instance astronomic telescope, the camera cannot be connected electronically to the lens. Generally - I think - you need this in the case you want to use non sony lenses. Jan

jankap Posted October 8, 2011 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2011 Sorry, there are a manual and a handbook. See: Sony NEX-5 Manual Release w/oLens Sets whether or not the shutter can be released when no lens is attached. 1 [Menu] t [setup] t [Release w/oLens] t desired setting. Enable Releases the shutter when no lens is attached. Select this when you attach the camera on an astronomical telescope, etc. Disable Releases the shutter only when a lens is attached.
