You might want to consider experimenting wiht some shots form time-to-time to see how they convert to B&W. I try to do that, and am often pleasently surprised. I shoud do it more often. I also like your lighthouse images on your excellent website. Dave, Thank you for converting the photo into B&W. Like Stuart, Daniel and Gareth already mentioned is the softness of your B&W quite appealing and it gives the image something that is missing in the color version. Here is my not so soft B&W attempt. That Duotone-like soft b/w is absolutely perfect, especially by hiding the distracting lines of the pavement in the foreground.
