desd007 Posted September 22, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought M8.2 and current Firmare 2.004. Do you recommend updating with latest FIRMARE 2.014? Any issues? Best,
Advertisement Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Hi desd007, Take a look here to update or not?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted September 22, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2011 I'm still running 2.005, which preceded 2.014. I don't know of any concerns regarding any of the more recent versions; just been too lazy to update. Of course, if you install the latest, you get the benefits of all prior versions. So, yes, go for it. Jeff
jaapv Posted September 22, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 22, 2011 The newest versions do little but add lens codes.

Jeff S Posted September 25, 2011 Share #6 Posted September 25, 2011 Did the message linger, or was the data in fact being written to the card as expected? This is different than the shutter fault message corrected with 2.005. Jeff

Shade Posted September 26, 2011 Share #8 Posted September 26, 2011 I don't see why you shouldn't update it.
jaapv Posted September 26, 2011 Share #9 Posted September 26, 2011 It is quite normal to see a data transfer message when you have filled the buffer. It can take quite a while for the camera to empty its memory. You should not pull the battery and it is possible to carry on shooting as images are transferred and buffer space becomes available.
