When in Brussels this week, I visited an old friend : Michel Campion. Michel is the place's oldest and most famous Leica dealer and, if he left his original shop to his son, he opened opposite, on the other side of the street, a second-hand and collectors shop which he runs like a hobby. He presented me with an incredible book, recently published by a former airline pilot whose retirement hobby is fine mechanics, and more in particular the repair of Leica IIIc and IIIf.

The book - unfortunately published only in French - is soft bound, 160 x 235 mm in size, counts 104 high quality print and easily readable pages, with about 40 photos and 50 technical sketches. Its price is quoted on the back cover as being 18 euros.

I believe it deserves an introduction to this forum. I hastly took a few pixes reproduced hereunder, which speak for themselves.

I CLA my Leicas myself since a long time, there are lots of repair manuals available from the internet not to mention Tomosy`repair book.. The photographs look quite good to me, but that´s something one can find in English language manuals, too. The drawings are pretty useless. I can perfectly live without that book and after all, once one has done some Leicas, those books are not needed anymore. There are lots of similarities on screw mounts and M bodies, even the latest MP clearly shows where it comes from, the M3.
