nealf Posted July 16, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is a repost of a photo that was in the old forum, not of the artist, but of his art. William Kennedy was a master gunsmith who recreated classic flintlock arms. This is a brace of brass barreled silver mounted pistols that he made for me several years ago. Billy died on Friday of cancer, he was 57 years old, he was a friend and I will miss him. (A pair of his pistols are used by Capt. Jack Sparrow in " The Pirates of the Caribbean 2 ")

jmr Posted July 16, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 16, 2006 Neal, sorry to hear your friend has died; the pistols look very well made, he was evidently a very talented man.
elansprint72 Posted July 16, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 16, 2006 Neal, sorry to hear of your loss; you have something to remember your friend with. Looks like real quality workmanship to me. A shame about the insensitive previous comment; hopefully this is just a language thing. Regards, Pete.
