rob_x2004 Posted February 14, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if there is a toggle for the disconnect time in the UserCP? Whatever time I am set to I am having to relog over and over. Seems to log out after about five minutes inactivity.
Advertisement Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Hi rob_x2004, Take a look here Disconnect time. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted February 14, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 14, 2007 Odd, my connection has always stayed on permanently. I can't see any options to change it. When you log on, do you check the "Remember Me" box? (If we have one!) Mac or PC? Cookies enabled etc?
stumac Posted February 14, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 14, 2007 Hi Rob, Andy, Dont seem to have a time limit on viewing, but if I try to post after about an hour I think, I get the message - you are not logged in- even when indicated so in welcome box. Regards, Stuart.
rob_x2004 Posted February 14, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted February 14, 2007 Thanks guys. Must be a quirk. I dont have 'remember me' checked, prefering to sign in to sites each time. I am getting booted about every five minutes. No idea what is causing it. Some sites have a 'diconnect me after x minuted inactivity' I thought it might have been that. hammam Posted February 18, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 18, 2007 Does anyone know if there is a toggle for the disconnect time in the UserCP? Whatever time I am set to I am having to relog over and over. Seems to log out after about five minutes inactivity. I have the exact same problem, on a Power Mac G5, using Safari, and with cookies enabled. I'd say I'm logged off after three minutes. Very annoying. I do check the «Remember me» box but it does not work. I have sent three messages to the LUF in the last three months or so, but no one has replied. Looks as if my mails to you were filtered out by any kind of spam filter - but I replied to you twice (November 10th and December 8th). I didn't get a answer to my questions so I thought your problem was solved. Now you answered all of them (Remember me box, OS and browser). So I have to take a deeper look into my toolbox: - Do you use AOL as access provider? - Do you use the forum from behind a firewall (from your company)? Again: I'm sure we can solve that (as I'm using a very similar setting here) Regards Andreas

But «Only for sites you navigate to». It shouldn't make any difference. This is just to prevent cookies from site advertisers. However, I do clear cookies quite often, like after an on-line banking session. Thanks, OR OK, next try: > > Do you allow cookies? > > Go to the Menu: > Safari -> Preferences -> Security or Safety > > You should find an option like "Accept cookies" - is it checked? > > Regards > Andreas » After that, no more news, except the Newsletter, Dec. 12th. No, I don't use AOL. No firewall. Thank you.
