stuny Posted February 14, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 14, 2007 Steph - Beautiful subject, light, color, framing and selective focus (which of course the pundits say you can't do with a D2). Do anything for your lover?

stuny Posted February 14, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 14, 2007 Steph - No doubt you've noticed that frequently when you get a group of people of my gender together we often act as though our age has been greatly diminished (Old, pertinent joke, which I’ve included in my unpublished novel: What’s the difference between a man and a bond [in the US, bonds are debt instruments]?. The answer is: Bonds mature). We have too few women on the Forum. More might help us behave better, not to mention these facts: Only a tiny fraction of 1% of women are color blind, and most women perceive color more acutely than men. In the case of photos of female nudes it’s usually easy to tell which men have taken and which women have taken. In a discussion on this topic a few years ago with Catherine (last name withheld), our head of legal, she says it’s a matter of agenda. I think she’s right. In short, I’m glad you’re here, and if Barbara and I get to Auckland a 4th time perhaps we can meet. So far the Forum members we’ve met have been delightful

squiff Posted February 15, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted February 15, 2007 I like your joke Stuart, I'd love to read your book when you get in published....yes I agree there are too few women on the forum, photography is one of the few industries that has never been totally dominated by men. Lee Miller, Annie Leitbovitz, Stephanie Sinclair to name very few have proved that woment excell in this business and having excellent colour perception ( amoung many other skills) simply adds to that. We'd definitly love to meet, next time you are in New Zealand.... Brad- I wish you were here to enjoy them too....... s
