andybarton Posted February 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just been thinking about (and really looking forward to) this year's holiday and looking through some old stuff from the last time we were on the island. This one was originally colour. I am sure that this could be properly Rolofied, if only I had the skills R8/28 Elmarit-R (non-ROM)/Velvia
Advertisement Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Portnahaven Church. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted February 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 13, 2007 Andy - Lovely framing, full tonal range, contrast & DOF. The OK is interesting, but a bit jarring.
andybarton Posted February 13, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted February 13, 2007 Thanks Stuart. The "OK" was just painted on the wall. I have no idea why, but it offers an foil to the church. Islay is a fabulous place. When we win the lottery, we will move here for good.

samwells Posted February 14, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 14, 2007 Andy - Lovely shot...I actually like the runic 'OK' just because it's jarring, illogical and senseless. Thanx for sharing. cheers: Sam
Rolo Posted February 14, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 14, 2007 I am sure that this could be properly Rolofied, Andy, I presume that was an invitation ! To be honest, there's not a lot one could improve on here as you'd made such a good job. I appreciate that the purpose oof the image was to bring the OK sign to the viewers attention, but it just seems so out of place to me in such a rural scene. Having said that I recognise that the image needs a stronge foreground subject. Play as I do, I'm not satisfied that this can benefit. Rolo
