pauledell Posted September 1, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2011 A nice shot. I would be tempted to crop off about one-half of the right-hand side to where the large branch at the top is to center the little guy making a vertical format. I find little interest in the right hand side. Paul
kokoshawnuff Posted September 1, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted September 1, 2011 I tried not to crop it, but i think you're right. the vertical shot looks better

kokoshawnuff Posted September 1, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted September 1, 2011 Thanks Henry. I have had some good and some bad experiences with the new 160. I really like the new 400, but the 160 tends to be very warm with some photos having quite an extreme violet tint. I'll have to keep trying it to find the best application. stuny Posted September 1, 2011 Share #6 Posted September 1, 2011 Beautiful subject, color and detail, and the crop improves it.

Koko, I noticed that with the Portra 160 colors are best with Nikonscan than EpsonScan (I have both) reason ? please look at this thread: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/nature-wildlife/195779-rose-i-love-open-thread-7.html What's scanner have you ? Best Henry Henry, thanks for the response. I have a Epson V700. It's nice to have that information, as I've seen some great results with the new 160, but it's been difficult for me to get there with it. I really like your macro shots with the 400vc, which I've also had some difficulties with, but I've had great success with the new 400 and the 400nc. oh the intricacies of scanner technology..
