andybarton Posted February 12, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2007 Lovely rural scene, Mehmet, beautifully composed. Could have been taken at any time in the last 500 years, by the looks of it (apart from the tractor, of course ) This has a "signature" look to it. What equipment did you use, and which film? Is this a 35 f2?
stunsworth Posted February 12, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2007 I agree with Andy, there's a wonderful 'painterly' feel to this. The colours look as if they've been manipulated, but this only adds to the atmosphere. It has a look of one of those early colour shots done through red, green and blue filters. Thanks for sharing. lambroving Posted February 13, 2007 Share #9 Posted February 13, 2007 Mehmet Ali, Thanks very much for honoring my request. I just LOVE this picture and knew everyone else would. No problem with tonal range here! Wonderful light; love the lushness and it tells a timeless story. Doug nailed it. I'd have been proud to have made this one. darkness30 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted February 13, 2007 Dear Friends, thank you very much for your kind words. I am very happy and honored. This Photo was taken on a small hilltop where human farming activities was about to reach this very old Tree. People of the close by villages consider this tree as sacret and do not harm it and it is lonely up there. The people under the tree are not my relatives however they offered us some tea and they definetly knew my dad since he was their representative in the parliament for 12 years. It was spring last year as you can understand from the colors. If i am not mistaken the photo was taken with SL + 60mm Macro and the film was Kodak RS200. I didnot manipulate the colors but may be i lack the capability to correct the colors properly whic i usually do instinctively. Usually, this color palette, i get from RS200. Thanks for looking and encouraging comments. Best, Mehmet
