farnz Posted February 11, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) After being tipped off by a thread in this forum I recently purchased a DMC-FZ20 - the forerunner to the V-Lux1 - because of its 36 to 432 mm f2.8 lens and its inexpensiveness on the sh market. Â The images are quite reasonable if a little noisy owing to the miniscule sensor but if you keep within its limitations the camera behaves itself very well. Until today. Â I went into London to shoot the lights on Tower Bridge with the D2 and the FZ20 and when I downloaded the images from the FZ20 I noticed that the JPEGs were fine but the TIFF files were colour shifted and wrapped around to the left. I've attached a sample JPEG and TIFF of the same shot so you can see what's happened. Â Has anyone encountered this before, is there an easy fix, or have I just been more stupid than usual? Â Your suggestions are appreciated. Pete. Â JPEG Â TIFF
farnz Posted February 14, 2007 Author Share #2 Â Posted February 14, 2007 For info, I've pinned the problem down to 2GB cards. Â I was using a confirmed bona fide Sandisk 2GB Ultra II SD card and got the same result from a 2GB Apacer card but when I used a confirmed bona fide Sandisk 512MB Ultra II SD card or a bog standard InsertName 1GB card the FZ20 behaves itself perfectly.
