miha Posted August 17, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey everybody, I'm about to purchase one of these for my R4s/2 and wonder which one is quieter in operation. Is there a distinct difference between the two in terms of loudness? Thanks!
Advertisement Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Hi miha, Take a look here Motor Drive or Winder R?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tobey bilek Posted August 18, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 18, 2011 I have a winder and a motor and do not recall a big difference. They both are fairly loud, but nowhere near a Nikon motor or old SL motor. Stealth is a M camera. Next I would not invest a great deal of money in a R4. Next I would not invest a great deal of money in a R4. Purchasing an used MD is not a great deal of money.
Sandokan Posted August 18, 2011 Share #4 Posted August 18, 2011 The difference is in the weight and size - 10 instead of 6 AA bateries.
nikau Posted August 18, 2011 Share #5 Posted August 18, 2011 I've had both and, despite its extra weight and bulk, would recommend the motor drive.
miha Posted August 19, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted August 19, 2011 I've had both and, despite its extra weight and bulk, would recommend the motor drive. Because it fits your hands better or because of the extra features?
