Michael Geschlecht Posted August 6, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2011 Helo bpalme, Was the lens they did not steal on the broken camera? BTW: What was the focal length of the lens did they not steal & how often do you use it or think of using it compared to the others? Best Regards, Michael
bpalme Posted August 6, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted August 6, 2011 Haha, they stole my 28 Cron ASPH and 50 Cron( my only two.. 5K worth). The lens that was on the camera was some weird lens I've never seen before. The camera wouldn't focus. Maybe I need to seek a dream interpreter . msk2193 Posted August 6, 2011 Share #4 Posted August 6, 2011 Unfortunately, mine was not a dream. Thank God for insurance!
bpalme Posted August 6, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted August 6, 2011 Unfortunately, mine was not a dream. Thank God for insurance! I think that's one reason I had the dream.. maybe I'm a little paranoid about it. When I'm out and about I'm always watching over my shoulder and careful where I set the bag down. barnack Posted August 8, 2011 Share #6 Posted August 8, 2011 I understand how you feel about being paranoid about your equipment stolen. To avoid a nightmare such as this I have my equiment insured.
Studio58 Posted August 8, 2011 Share #7 Posted August 8, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Unfortunately, mine was not a dream. Thank God for insurance! Unfortunately mine was not a dream either. The $30,000 in Hasselblad gear was insured but the insurance company refused to pay out on a technicality. 11 1/2 years later I have recouped the loss by not insuring and being super cautious (not that I was not already) Insurance company was Chubb. Similar story for me when my wheels were stolen from my private locker. A good $5000 stolen, insurance company denied the claim about some technicality buried in a 300 page booklet that i never saw before (was insured 5 years with them, insurance was WAWANESSA, full coverage option). Michael Geschlecht Posted August 9, 2011 Share #9 Posted August 9, 2011 Hello bpalme, Perhaps an interpertation might be: This dream is telling you: If you have valuable equipment it will be stolen but if you have useless or no name equipment thieves will leave it alone. A popular conception which is probably statistically inaccurate. Another interpertation could be this dream reflects your personal (perhaps unrealized by you) fear of taking anything valuable into the real World because you feel someone else can take valuable things from you and you are powerless to stop them. You can only safely have & use things of little or no value. There are also other possible interpertations. Best Regards, Michael
