Advertisement Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Hi barnack, Take a look here 24mm Summilux. Still Being Produced?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
RobertJRB Posted July 31, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2011 Is the 24mm Summilux still being produced? Off course it is. From the leica 24mm's its the 24 elmarit which is discontinued. There might be some waiting lists trough for the 24 lux like there is for most fast leica lenses these days.
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted July 31, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 31, 2011 No need to hesitate to order one, barnack. The drawback: you might have to wait for a short while for delivery, that´s all. Best GEORG

ezc203 Posted August 1, 2011 Share #5 Posted August 1, 2011 As I read from a number of sources (including reliable forum members) Leica produces lenses in batches right? So I too wonder what the production cycle is like. I heard the Noctilux 0.95 are so "rare" because they use a special kind of rare glass which takes time to produce. So while they are "still in production", they only hit the shelves at certain intervals with x volume. Is my understanding of how this process is like correct?
