luigi bertolotti Posted July 28, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 28, 2011 ... even if it's a "hammertone"... ... but, at the end...in Italy we say "tentar non nuoce..." ("to try doesn't hurt")... best whishes to the seller.... The other gear in their site is too often overpriced... dunno why an Elmarit M 90 can be offered at about 2,5x the price I paid 1 year ago in a good and well known Italian shop... k_g_wolf ✝ Posted July 29, 2011 Share #5 Posted July 29, 2011 The very same guy runs shops in HK and Nürnberg, places which offer pretty rare stuff occasionally. And being prohibitively expensive at the same time for many regular items. Best GEORG
luigi bertolotti Posted July 29, 2011 Share #6 Posted July 29, 2011 Expensive? May be, but try to find another one... That's true : hammertone M2 (with hammertone Viso) are very rare and, at the same time, rather well documented about their story, so they are undoubtly of the "ideal collectible" breed... I am not a great chaser/archiver of past sales / auctions etc... but have a decent memory and I don't seem to have seen a hammertone M2 for sale in the last 5-6 years : so, let's say that the dealer does not make an "unfair" selling tentative putting a superprice like the above... he doesn't risk his reputation (which is anyway, in this case, of a costly dealer) with 2 to 10 people writing here and in other communities "Hey, I bought one for 1/5 - 1/8 2 years ago !" Anyway... continue to think that is a far too high request... but recent auctions have proved that collecotrs with very deep pockets are around...
