Capture One 6 vs. CS5 for DNG Conversion

I've searched here and on line and don't seem to find much by way of a recent discussion of the two. I have been a Photoshop and raw user on a pc for years. I currently use CS5 and the ACR coversion on my M9 dng files shot with the 35 summicron asph and 50 summilux asph. I really do virtually nothing with ACR to process the files, everything is done in CS5 and a host of NIK software.

There are times when I find certain aspects of the files in terms of color and hue to be very time consuming to resolve. Gray clouds may have a minor purple tint, some minor purple in very dark areas of the photo on the edges, too vibrant reds and oranges, a yellow cast to lamp lit areas in low light shots, maybe some redness in fleshtones in low lit shots. Unless I use Custom in ACR the files are dark and Custom just tends to push them too far to the right on the histogram. I've got corner fix but I'm not having issues with corners so find don't use it and it had no effect at all on the purple in the dark area in a corner of one series of photos.

Would Capture One Pro be a better program to sort through these types of issues, particularly since I get the impression that it has a more robust profile for the M9 dng files? I've also tried Lightroom and just didn't want to be bothered with the entirely new interface since I have used Bridge for so long but I'd be interested if that had a better dng converter as well.

Thanks for any suggestions.

C1 is and has been my preferred RAW processor for years. I believe it to be as good as any other. I won't say better, to avoid flames, ;) but you get my point. Like so much of this stuff, you must try for your self and form your opinion. What anyone elsew thinks does not really matter. You can download a free trial version. The leaning curve is steep, but so are the rewards. It all depends on how much you want it to work, your way.
