Guest Jeffryabt Posted February 9, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can you tell which is which ? The lighting is difficult in my office... hard to get the images right with either Camera. I came the closest with the D2x; but to be fair, I've been around the corner a few times with the D2x. I'm new with the M8.
barjohn Posted February 9, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted February 9, 2007 How about some info before we guess, like how were they post processed? Is this streight out of the camera RAW of JPG? Were you on auto WB or preset? How about a couple of 100% crops? Then we might be able to guess with such small images.
Guest Jeffryabt Posted February 9, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted February 9, 2007 Sorry about such small images... I,m new at posting in the forum. I was not sure what size images the formu would bear. I'll take two new samples and post again.
peterv Posted February 9, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted February 9, 2007 Nice game! Â I would guess the second picture is the M8... Â Because it looks sharper, and also the ma****-cast...
xrogers Posted February 9, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted February 9, 2007 I have no clue which is which. I'm just trying to imagine having such an uncluttered, squeaky clean office... Â Clyde Rogers

BillBrittain Posted February 9, 2007 Share #7  Posted February 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My vote is for the D2x on the left. I have both cameras.  But the thing that concerns me is your office. By way of a "compare and contrast", I shot this just now with the M8:  Welcome, dear visitor! By way of a "compare and contrast", I shot this just now with the M8:    My office guilt that I had from viewing the first image has gone away! Thankyou for being brave enough to post what a 'real' office looks like. I think your's is marginally neater than mine! Guest guy_mancuso Posted February 10, 2007 Share #12 Â Posted February 10, 2007 No question M8 on the right
craigrmurray Posted February 10, 2007 Share #13 Â Posted February 10, 2007 I'm sure the M8 is on the right. BTW, the camera looks like it's pointed down a little more on the left, or is it lens distortion?
stevem7 Posted February 10, 2007 Share #14 Â Posted February 10, 2007 No doubt, 100% M8 is on the right - I can see the cast and there is lens distortion on the D2x shot.

Guest Jeffryabt Posted February 10, 2007 Share #18 Â Posted February 10, 2007 The image on the right is the M8; the image on the left is the D2x. I'm amazed that anyone can say that my office is not a 'real' office. I work there everyday (really).
marknorton Posted February 10, 2007 Share #19 Â Posted February 10, 2007 OK.... but a comparison like this is only useful if we know the settings. Are these JPEGs right out of the camera, no IR filter on the M8? The M8 WB is well off, how do you rate the D2x result in terms of accuracy?
