iphoenix Posted July 20, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 20, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am about to take delivery of an M4P body on which I would like to use my close focus Summicron. With the different viewfinder magnification of the M4P compared to the M3 for which the Summicron's "specs" were presumably designed, could someone please advise of any problems there may be in doing so. Thanks, David
Advertisement Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Hi iphoenix, Take a look here Using C/F Summicron on M4P. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted July 20, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 20, 2011 No problem at all : it fits any film M body (not the CL, of course...), working correctly both with and without the DR goggle unit: in respect to M3, you simply have a smaller 50mm frame (M4P has 28mm as largest frame) but with correct framing. iphoenix Posted July 21, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted July 21, 2011 Thank you Luigi, the c/f Summicron is my favourite; so I'm very pleased I can use it on the M4P. Kind regards, David
