WillD Posted July 19, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone got one of the new Strawfoot Handmade camera bags? They look rather nice and am interested if anyone has got further photos and can tell me how much equipment they hold? Advertisement Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Hi WillD, Take a look here Check out this new bag. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted July 19, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2011 That is one strange 'folding' top...wouldn't want that in the blowing rain (or dry for that matter). To each his own. Jeff
Adam Marelli Posted July 19, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 19, 2011 Its kind of a cool bag. Acr Teryx actually uses a similar closing for their bags, with one major exception. The top gets rolled two times making it water tight. I would recommend these guys look at Arc Teryx climbing bags and then do a quick re design because I love waxed cotton bags with leather details. Its also great how small the bag is. Adam Adam Marelli Photo
Jeff S Posted July 19, 2011 Share #4 Posted July 19, 2011 The top gets rolled two times making it water tight. In this case (so to speak), the thick lining precludes rolling, per the linked text. Jeff
250swb Posted July 19, 2011 Share #5 Posted July 19, 2011 It looks like if it worked how it was supposed to, with a two roll top, it would be pretty useless as a camera bag with all that material flopping about. Yet another bag for the gullible and ugly as hell to boot. Steve
Studio58 Posted July 20, 2011 Share #6 Posted July 20, 2011 I just bought a Domke 803 which fits my M8 and M9 side by side with lenses attached. My light meter fits in one of the pockets and the rear of the bag has a perfect space for an ipad. The bag is tiny and understated. It is very cool indeed. Better than the one shown here. Go check out the Think Tank Retrospective range, which have been built to last, and with real attention to detail.

bill Posted July 21, 2011 Share #15 Posted July 21, 2011 That is the worst thing I have seen in many a long day. Definitely a triumph of style over substance. Regards, Bill
