wlaidlaw Posted February 13, 2007 Share #21 Â Posted February 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just been pointed in the direction of people called Morco - MORCO Professional Photographic Products who have a number of the SCA3502-M5 adapters in stock. I have bought one from them today. If you are UK based I would move quickly if you want one, since as pointed out in my previous post, these seem to be like the proverbial hens' teeth over here. I phoned a few other likely suspects and none of them had stock other than one who had one S/H M4 version. Of course I have now ordered and paid for an SF24-D but that is quite handy to have for a travel flash, as it is a lot smaller than my 40MZ-2. Riley Posted February 14, 2007 Author Share #22  Posted February 14, 2007 Sorry Rob and Wilson, I made an error in my post, which I corrected after you both responded. I was referring to the 3202M5 that I just bought for my D3/L1, as being 'dumb' and not working that well with my 40MZ3i  The 3502M4 that I use on my 40MZ3i with my D2 works perfectly.  Im asking Metz what goes on with this by experience it takes a while to be answered see if I can hustle up some inf elsewhere in the mean time
Riley Posted February 14, 2007 Author Share #23  Posted February 14, 2007 I just got this answer from Metz support (kinda fast), unfortunately they seem to think I have an MZ4, so its still a bit in the air from elsewhere there seems to be some recognition that it will work in A mode, but not in P mode  [quote name=Metz} The mentioned flash gun mecablitz 54 MZ-4 offhand also can be used with the digital-camera Olympus E-300. For this we recommend to furnish the flash gun with the adaptor SCA 3202 with version M4 or uprate. Whereas previous adaptor of this type with a lower specification aren´t useable.[/quote]
Riley Posted February 15, 2007 Author Share #24  Posted February 15, 2007 well i didnt get much further, this was the 2nd reply, really only good for E300 i guess  The mentioned flash gun mecablitz 54 MZ-3 can be used with the mentioned camera compareable to the mecablitz 54 MZ-4. There are no differences at this flash guns regardingly the combination with the Olympus E-300.  The adaptor SCA 3202 offhand can be used ex version M4 or uprate for this camera. Therefore the adaptors SCA 3202 M5 and M6 are useable with the mentioned digital-camera without any problems.  We hope we could be in assistance to you and remain with best regards
