Every year here they have the ’’Scottish Fest’’ and it is a hell-uv-a big deal. Clans from

all over everywhere join here. There are terrific displays too. My favorite being the BIG

catapult ….. the worlds first Howitzer I’d say. They launch old bowling balls into the lake.

Gosh, they go so high they are almost out of site. When they come down and hit the water

there is a mighty splash! It’s a great crowd pleaser to say the least.

One year they let a lot of water out of the dam to the point hundreds of balls were visble.

So, I just HAD to slosh through the mud and retrieve one. When I cane home I placed it in

the crotch of a tree just outside my door. As the years have passed the tree limbs have

grown around it: entrapping it completely.
